When you order a SilverLite Trailer you can be assured that your trailer will be
made completely on-site by our skilled team. You can even come for a tour of the
factory if you are in our area!
The benefit of having the entire building and construction process taking place in
one location is that you are guaranteed that all components will work and fit
together perfectly. The majority of manufacturers send out their living quarters or
sections of their trailers to off-site contractors, meaning that the components aren't
made together, which can lead to problems or malfunctions.
Gooseneck structure
SilverLite employs an A-frame hitch that utilizes the
superior strength of powder-coated steel to tie the hitch,
gooseneck deck, lower bunk wall, and landing gear into
“the best darn gooseneck in the industry.”

Our flooring
SilverLite features a 1/8" aluminum flooring supported
on 4" I-beams that are on 9 5/8" centers for incredible
strength and durability in the horse area of most trailer
models. Look under "their" trailer, our I-beams are
bigger and placed closer together, this means your floor
is stronger, safer and will wear better than our
competition. In addition to placing our I-beams closer,
we also run two flat bar straps under the I-beams to
prevent twisting.
Hold-opens
All of our exterior doors come with a hold-open to prevent
movement that could spook an animal during loading. If a
door doesn't have hold-opens it can swing around in the
wind and could even injury someone or an animal.
Recessed roof vents
SilverLite Trailers recesses our roof vents to prevent
animals from catching a sharp edge or hurting
themselves. There is one vent per stall for air flow and
circulation - standard in most models.
Built-in travel grills
We make sure your animal can't stick their head out of
the window and risk injury during transit by building
travel grills on all of our drop-down feed doors.
Welded axles
SilverLite welds the axles to the frame of the trailer for
safety and for improved tracking and alignment. Our
axles are rubber torsion suspension axles to help with
cushioning bumps, pot holes or rough spots in the road
with less bouncing. The rubber torsion suspension works
independently for each wheel, which means that road
impact that affects one side of the trailer aren't
transferred to the other side. This results in both a
smoother ride and less wear on the horse, trailer, tow
vehicle and driver.
Notched rear rubber dock bumper
SilverLite pays special attention to your animal's safety
by notching the 3" rear rubber dock bumper so that the
rear door latch and cams are recessed to prevent injury
by a hoof catching during loading or unloading. This type
of attention to detail is what has made SilverLite a
name to be trusted in the industry.
One-piece aluminum roof
SilverLite Trailers uses a one-piece aluminum roof for
improved water resistance. We don't use composite
materials as we believe the all aluminum one-piece
design is the best choice for quality, durability and leak
resistance.
